BluFlux the First CTIA Certified Lab in the Rocky Mountain Region
BluFlux is excited to announce its certification as a CTIA Authorized Test Laboratory (CATL) for over-the-air (OTA) performance of wireless devices v 3.4.2, the latest official CTIA test plan.
The CTIA certification authorizes BluFlux as a professional services laboratory for testing and certifying the performance of mobile, Internet of Things, M2M and other devices on wireless networks.
Certification by a CTIA Authorized Test Lab (CATL) is required for all companies and hardware developers seeking to connect a device on a nationwide cellular network. BluFlux is the only CATL in the greater Rocky Mountain region.
“CTIA’s rigorous certification validates the mission of BluFlux: to provide, under one roof, the design and test/certification expertise to help companies bring a wireless product from PCB-layout concept phase all the way to network carrier certification,” said Ben Wilmhoff, president and founder of BluFlux. “Colorado and the greater Rocky Mountain region are quickly becoming a hub for companies building M2M, Internet of Things and wearable mobile devices, and we’re excited to be the only CTIA-certified lab to serve the growing Front Range wireless ecosystem.”
With CTIA certification, BluFlux anticipates a rapid increase in OTA tests taking place at its facility. The company rents its anechoic testing chamber and welcomes client engineers on-site to test their devices with support and consultation from BluFlux engineers, if desired.
As a CATL, BluFlux is certified for GSM (2G); GPRS (2.5G); EGPRS (2.5G); UMTS (W-CDMA) (3G); CDMA (3G); CDMA 1xEV-DO (3.9G), 4G; and LTE testing, as well as laptop and tablet testing.
There are only 11 North American companies that offer commercial over-the-air (OTA) test services of cellular connected products against CTIA specifications.
